Well, you have stumbled upon our little sound odyssey, Radio Odyssey that is!
Merriam-Webster defines odyssey as "a long wandering or voyage usually marked by many changes of fortune" or "an intellectual or spiritual wandering or quest." From Guglielmo Marconi and Nikola Tesla to Lee DeForest to KDKA to Edwin Howard Armstrong, radio has gone through many changes and formats. The soundtrack of your life has included to some degree a radio and the sounds that have came from one. From Disney to disco, musicals to accapella, gospel to garage and just about anything you can think of in between, even those old-time radio shows. Those sounds live here forever!
We are broadcasting in the AAC+ Format. This technology gives you CD quality audio without eating up bandwidth. Compare our stream with a typical 64kbps MP3 stream and you'll hear the difference! At this time, iTunes will not play "any" AAC+ streaming audio. For Windows users, the latest version of Windows Media Player (with the Orban plug-in) will work fine. For easy, no-fuss results, try using either Winamp, or Foobar! Both Winamp and Foobar play the stream with no trouble and with no extra downloads. For Mac and Linux users, the VLC Player is highly recommended.
